Well, I took them diving past 100’ on a few dives. I played with them in the ocean, snorkeling, swimming and generally splashing around. I took them hiking, sailing and canoeing keeping them exclusively in my daily rotation a few months. So how did they fare? I’m not sure how good the quality control is for these watches, I think there could be the possibility you get a lemon, but that was not my experience. If you aren’t looking for a brand name watch and want an automatic that has 200M water resistance with a sapphire crystal, this could be the one for you.The clasp is pressed, not machined, but it’s nice and easy to operate. Again, for the price this is a good solid clasp that is easy to operate. Dial wHAT i did notice after 24 hours versus my mac AND android phone, was that it lost 2.5 seconds in that time period, out of the box. that was with a very minimal 5-10 winds, and about 16 hours of low activity computer wear, and 10 hours face up. i've posted many times that Seikos routinely beat my 2000 brand NEW Rolex sub, which was about 10 secs a day off, which is outside of its chronometre status. so, i can say i'm pretty pleased with the last bit of this watch to be reviewed...the engine. Too bad the picture isn't too good, but maybe people want to know what a coke bottle insert looks like on a green dial. I think it looks pretty good, sort of like Christmas.

If you look on Aliexpress you will see there are several colors of the same style of watch to choose from. Hands The hand winding is exceptionally nice, this is common for the ST16. The screw down crown is just as good as any, except my Deep Blue 1000m sub or Seiko OM. Nothing can absolutely replace the Rolex Submariner, and in many ways the Rolex Submariner is the best of its kind when blending price, features, and quality. Also, Rolex has some of its own “alternatives” to the Submariner which arguably include the Rolex GMT-Master II, Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000, and the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller. I won’t mention those below, but you should know about these more “deep-diving” watches that Rolex produces which are technically Submariner alternatives as well (even though they arguably look very similar). There is not a whole lot of information out there about Loreo watches. I couldn’t tell you when they first hit the market, the history behind them, or anything of the sort. That’s pretty typical of a mushroom brands, as they just kind of came out of nowhere. But I suppose that’s not really what matters here. What matters is whether or not these watches are any good or not.

Conclusion: Are Loreo Watches Any Good?

If you plan on buying this watch to go night diving or you want to read the time in dark situations, this is not the watch for you. Movement Just like many other Chinese luxury styled watches, Loreo watches are inexpensive mid priced watches. Meaning, they are not super cheap, but they don’t really get into the expensive territory. There are a lot of Chinese luxury styled brands out there. Contrary to popular belief, not all Chinese brands are inherently bad or low quality. However, it can be hard to sift through which brands are quality brands, and which ones are junk. So we like to take a closer look at some of these obscure brands that pop up and seem to gain a bit of popularity with consumers. Bezel insert. It is aluminium bezel insert, so it is not very resistant to scratches. I was playing with a puppy and it scratched the bezel insert on the first day. I bought a ceramic bezel from AliExpress, made for Submariner (38mm diameter), but it is a half millimeter too big :(

Have you ever heard of a Loreo watch? Yes, me neither until I stumbled upon this Loreo Submariner homage watch. so cosmetically, to look at it even closely on someone's wrist, would suggest a high grade Swiss contemporary of Rolex with an homage style. Like anything in life it depends what you are looking for. I nearly always gravitate towards an automatic movement and a sapphire crystal. I also nearly always want a bracelet over a strap. I can add the strap later, sometimes adding a bracelet isn’t worth the cost.

This was one of the originals from a few years ago, after I used it for a few months I gave it to my wife, she likes a little bit larger watch, especially for diving. Since then she has beat the crap out of this watch. It still has paint on it from when we painted the bottom of our boat in Grenada. First, the cost was about 60 USD. For the price you get a lot. Stainless steel watch, sapphire crystal, Seagull ST16 movement (I will talk about it later). I bought it without the steel bracelet, because I prefer NATO or leather straps.
