BugClear Ultra is an insecticide that is effective against a range of common and tough bugs, including greenfly, blackfly, whitefly, caterpillar, other aphids, scale insects and mealy bugs and gives a useful level of control of thrips.

We use this to top-up the protection against spidermite on our Banana plants, Euphorbia mellifera, and Cordylines. If necessary repeat spray after 14 days for houseplants, ornamental garden plants and after 10 days for all other crops.

Using the measure provided, mix 60 ml of BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer with 1 litre of water in a watering can or mixing vessel. It is always advisable to test a sample of plants, by treating them and leaving for at least four weeks, before treating a large or valuable collection.

Using the measure provided add the recommended dose (see where to use table on back of pack) for each litre of water in a garden sprayer. There is a large amount of spray leaving me with over half the bottle left even though I used it for 3 heavy applications on around 20 orchids. They also appreciate the effect on the plants, saying that the spray kills them quickly and absorbs the plant's roots. Always test by spraying a small number of plants to check for adverse effects before treating a large area. I would really recommend this product as a last resort, but only as a last resort, as it contains some pretty harsh chemicals and causes my orchids to lose flowers.It took multiple heavy treatments to treat the infestation but now, a few months later, I can confidently say they are gone.
